SAFETY INSTRUCTION

This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use. When touching the unit, be sure your hands are dry to prevent electrical shock. Ensure the cord is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not in contact with any part of the heater. Do not use the heater in areas such as garages where petrol, paint or other flammable substances are used or stored. Do not use near or point the heater towards furniture, animals, cur- tains or other flammable objects. Keep combustible materials such as furniture, bedding and any other combustible materials at least 1 metre from the front and sides, and from the rear of the heater. Do not place the cord under carpet or cover with throw rugs or furni- ture. Arrange the cord so that it cannot be tripped over. The unit is also fitted with a tip-over switch. Do not use on thick and long pile carpets, as the heater may not work, due to the tip-over switch not being activated. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the product or flexible cord to rain, moisture or any liquid other than those necessary for correct operation of the product. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on. Do not place objects on the product or allow objects to obstruct the inlet or outlet openings, or operate in close proximity to walls or cur- tains, etc. Do not cover the unit when in operation. Do not locate the heater immediately below a socket outlet. This product is intended for normal domestic/household use only. Use this heater as described in this manual. Any other uses, not recommended by the manufacturer, may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons and may void the warranty. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regu- larly switched on and o? by the utility.

The appliance should be placed with a minimum distance of 90 cm away from flammable objects (e.g. curtains), walls or other structures!

POWER CORD

Avoid the use of an extension cord, as the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire. Use only an approved extension cord that is suitable for the appliance rating! Do not lay the cord under a carpet. Do not lay rugs, mats or similar ar- ticles on it. Position the cord so that it does not pose an obstruction or a tripping hazard. Never pull the plug out of the socket at the cord! Always disconnect the mains plug when the appliance is not in use. Attention! BEFORE USE

Before use, remove all packaging and inspect the appliance for any damage. If there appears to be any damage, please take the heater back to the place of purchase for a replacement. Ensure that all the accessories are included as per the diagram above before you continue with the installation. Ensure that the location of the installed heater is not directly under a power socket and that a power socket is available to power the appliance for use. Refer to the installation guide for further instructions.

OPERATION

Plug the heater into a suitable power outlet [observing all the instruction regarding positioning and switch on.

TO USE THE MACHINE FOR HEATING

Turn the control dial to "I" for low heat and "II" for full heat. Set the level of heat by turning the thermostat dial gradually clockwise for the lowest heat and fully clockwise for maximum. The thermostat will turn the machine o? when the selected room heating is achieved, and when the temperature drops it will turn on again automatically. For maximum heat output use "II" with the thermostat turned fully clockwise. To distribute heat evenly around a room, Turn the control dial to "" for low heat or "" for full heat.

SAFETY TIP-OVER SWITCH

The appliance is fitted with a tip-over switch. When you use the appliance in an upright position on a flat and stable surface, the tip-over switch will be on. In the event the heater is knocked over, the heater will stop functioning automatically. ENG

OVERHEATING

The thermostat will turn the machine o? it overheats. Overheating can be caused by obstruction to the air intakes on the back of the machine or the grill on the front .If this occurs please disconnect the machine and allow it to cool for

30 minutes. Remove any obstruction and turn the machine back on.

If the heater ceases to function, the most likely cause is a blown fuse, please contact with repair center.

CLEANING AND CARE

There are no parts inside the machine that require your attention or servicing. Do not try to open the outer case. If you have a problem with the heater, or if the power cord gets damaged in any way, you MUST take the unit to a suitably qualified engineer or electrical repair centre. Before cleaning the machine, please make sure it is disconnected from the power supply, and has cooled down completely. The outside case can be cleaned using a slightly damp lint-free cloth [a small amount of detergent can be used if required]. To remove any dust particles etc. form inside the front grill, or the rear air intakes, you can use a regular vacuum cleaner. Always make sure the machine is completely dry before using. If you are not going to use the heater for a while it is best to make sure it is clean and dry and then store it inside a plastic bag in a cool dry place.
