CRITERIA FOR INCENTIVE AWARD FOR FACULTY MEMBERS

ON RESEARCH PAPERS

1. The incentive award shall be fixed according to the formula given in tables (Annex-A)

2. In case of faculty members from Basic, Natural, Agricultural, Medicine and Engineering

sciences, only the research papers published in impact factor journals will be considered for award.

3. Award for publication, in nonimpact factor but HEC approved local & International journals

shall be applicable to the faculties from the following subjects:

Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

Business, Management Sciences, Law

4. Awards are to be given to full time regular faculty members of the University of the Punjab

(not on TTS) receiving salary in BP Scale.

5. Papers having more than 10 authors will not be considered under the Incentive Award

Scheme.

6. For a single author the award will be given as specified in Tables (Annex-A).

7. For multiple author publication, amount of publication as calculated in Tables (Annex-A) shall

be distributed as follows: a) If all authors are from the eligible applicants under Rule 4, then the amount of award shall be distributed equally amongst the applicants. b) If some authors are from the University and some from outside the University of the Punjab or ineligible for incentive award then amount of award shall be divided by total number of authors and eligible applicants will get their proportionate amount.

1. The maximum amount to be awarded to an individual faculty member in one calendar year

will not exceed Rs. 300,000. Applications on forms down loaded from the University website shall be invited by the concerned office as soon as possible.

2. Research papers against which publication charges have been paid by the University will
