1. DATE AND VENUE

The Third Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration of the African Union (AU) will be held from 04 to 08

2. REGISTRATION AND BADGES

All participants attending the Third Session of the Specialized Technical Committee on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration of the African Union (AU) are kindly requested to confirm their participation and register. Participants must complete an individual registration form in full. This information will be used to create a database for the meeting and to determine participants' arrival and departure times to ensure adequate transportation to and from the airport. Please complete and send the registration form by e-mail to the following addresses: kokobeG@africa-union.org and yamrotD@africa-union.org. Kindly attach a photo to your registration form. This is required for the publication of a

3. LANGUAGES

Simultaneous interpretation in the four AU working languages (Arabic, English, French, and Portuguese) will be provided throughout the STC meeting.

4. WORKING DOCUMENTS OF THE MEETING

Relevant information, including working documents, is available online at: planning-and-integration-4-8-march However, paper working papers will be made available to delegates attending the STC at the conference venue.

5. FINANCING

Participation fees for sponsored participants are covered by the African Union Commission (airfare, accommodation and per diems). Sponsored participants are requested to submit their boarding passes and a photocopy of their passports to the secretariat to facilitate the payment of the applicable per diem in accordance with United

Nations rates.

6. ACCOMODATION

Participants sponsored by the AUC will be accommodated in the following hotels (list below). The Government of Cameroon reserved a limited amount of rooms at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé at the agreed rate of ... US $ per night (excluding taxes), including breakfast.

Please note that a sufficient number of rooms have been booked at other hotels and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The list of hotels is attached to this logistical information note.

7. VISA

The AUC is making all the arrangements, in close collaboration with the Government of Cameroon for the facilitation of obtaining visas for all participants of the STC. However, participants from countries where there is an embassy or consulate are requested to apply for entry visas prior to travel to Cameroon. Visas on arrival will be provided to participants from countries where Cameroon does not have diplomatic representation. In this case, the participants concerned must provide the STC logistics team with a scanned copy of their passport in advance to the following addresses:

8. TRAVEL OF AUC SPONSORED PARTICIPANTS

Sponsored participants are entitled to a return economy class airfare, via the most direct and efficient route, in accordance with the AU rules applicable to travel. Ms Yamrot Demtse (yamrotD@africa-union.org) is the focal point who will organize the travel arrangements for the sponsored participants and she will e-mail the e-tickets in advance. Please note that once the itineraries have been confirmed and the e-ticket issued, any participant wishing to change their travel arrangements will be required to do so at their own expense.

9. DAILY SUBSITANCE ALLOWANCE FOR SPONSORED PARTICIPANTS

Daily subsistence allowances for sponsored participants will be provided at the meeting venue, upon presentation of the passport page containing the personal data and the original air ticket. These allowances cover incidental expenses, dinners and official travel days, in accordance with UN rules.

10. TRANSPORT FROM/TO THE AIRPORT/ CONFERENCE CENTER

The Government of the Republic of Cameroon offers a free shuttle service between the airport and the hotels selected for the accommodation of the participants throughout the STC. This service is available every half hour. At the Nsimalen International Airport, the Protocol Service of Cameroon and the Commission will make all arrangements for the reception and transfer of participants. The transport service will also be available for the transfer of participants from their respective hotels to the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé.

11. CLIMATE

Cameroon is located in a tropical zone. The climate is semi-arid in March which corresponds to the dry season. The average temperature for this season is 35 ° C.

The CFA franc is the currency of legal tender in Cameroon.
