1. THE MISSION OF THE MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAM - ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN
TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY:
industry (acronym: EAATIO) is the training of specialists in tourism and hospitality industry, through educational and
research activities, tailored to the specifics of the current business environment. The mission of the program is to prepare
competent specialists able to be actively integrated as employees in multinational companies or in small and medium
enterprises in different areas of the hospitality industry, but also to be able to engage on their own in entrepreneurial
activities. EAATIO program's mission is to provide to master students the knowledge, skills and competences for their future
professional activities and this mission is done both through educational activities provided in the curriculum and integrating
master students in research and development activities set out in the specific research plan and also through practical
activities and interaction with the business environment, with the real economy through practical programs and others.
2. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE MASTER STUDY PROGRAM ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION IN
TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY:
The overall objective of the Master's Degree program Economics and business administration in tourism and hospitality
industry (EAATIO) is linked to the training of master students of education and advanced skills in business administration in
tourism and hospitality industry. This general objective will be achieved through specific objectives, namely:- Providing advanced knowledge, skills and leadership competence in tourism and hospitality businesses;
- To develop the capacity and availability to integrate in multidisciplinary teams and taking specific responsibilities in
business;- Developing innovative thinking to substantiate solutions to problems and concrete business situations, in different areas and
specific activities to tourism;- Provide students with the skills required to increase competitiveness and profitability of organizations they are part of;
- Creating professional skills necessary for developing business projects, creation and implementation of business strategies,
understanding the business environment and concrete adaptation to different contexts.The purpose of the Master's degree program EAATIO is thus to provide training in the field of tourism and hospitality
industry, at the highest quality standards and attracting and involving students as active participants, partners and end-
beneficiaries of the act teaching.3. COMPETENCES ACQUIRED BY GRADUATES AT THE END OF STUDIES
3.1. PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES:
1. Knowing, understanding and using basic theories and methods regarding the structures in the fields of tourism and
services.2. Analysis, synthesis and using economic information to base decisions of tourism businesses.
