Can I use live animals in a biomedical science major?

Live animals and/or animal tissues are used for teaching purposes in some courses in the Bio-Medical Science Major.
This must be accepted by students admitted to the program.

The Department of Biomedical Sciences also offers a Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) in Applied Reproductive Biotechnologies and in Applied Toxicology .
Following a structured course outline, these research streams include:

  • a practicum placement and in-house training.
    For entry to the MSc and MBS programs a BSc (Hons) or a DVM degree is required.
