Bernards Township is a township in the Somerset Hills of Somerset County, in the U.
S. state of New Jersey.
The township is a bedroom suburb of New York City in the much larger New York metropolitan area, located within the Raritan Valley region.
As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 27,830, an increase of 1,178 (+4.4%) from the 2010 census count of 26,652, reflecting an increase of 2,077 (+8.5%) from the 24,575 counted in the 2000 census.

Chatham Borough is a suburban borough in Morris County, in the U.
S. state of New Jersey.
As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 9,212, an increase of 250 (+2.8%) from the 2010 census count of 8,962, which in turn reflected an increase of 502 (+5.9%) from the 8,460 counted in the 2000 census.

East Jersey State Prison is a medium-security prison operated by the New Jersey Department of Corrections in Avenel, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey.
It was established in 1896 as Rahway State Prison, and was the first reformatory in New Jersey, officially opening in 1901.

Netcong lies on the shores of Lake Musconetcong.

The New York and New Jersey campaign in 1776 and the winter months of 1777 was a series of American Revolutionary War battles for control of the Port of New York and the state of New Jersey, fought between British forces under General Sir William Howe and the Continental Army under General George Washington.
Howe was successful in driving Washington out of New York, but overextended his reach into New Jersey, and ended the New York and New Jersey campaign in January 1777 with only a few outposts near New York City under British control.
The British held New York Harbor for the rest of the Revolutionary War, using it as a base for expeditions against other targets.

USS New Jersey (BB-62) is an Iowa-class battleship, and was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named after the US state of New Jersey.
She was often referred to fondly as Big J. New Jersey earned more battle stars for combat actions than the other three completed Iowa-class battleships, and was the only US battleship providing gunfire support during the Vietnam War.

West Milford is a township in Passaic County, in the U.
S. state of New Jersey.
As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 24,862, a decrease of 988 (−3.8%) from the 2010 census count of 25,850, which in turn reflected a decline of 560 (−2.1%) from the 26,410 counted in the 2000 census.
It is the largest in the county by total area, covering 80.32 square miles (208.0 km2) and more than 40% of the county.
