    The Community Health Center Fund provides billions in grant funding annually.
    Centers rely on the Fund to cover the cost of uncompensated care and to increase the services they provide.
    The Fund is authorized by Congress every few years, but the past three authorizations have not significantly increased the level of funding.

    Will NACHC reauthorize the Community Health Center Fund?

    NACHC is focused on passing a bill to reauthorize the federal Community Health Center Fund, which is set to expire on September 30, 2023, the end of the federal fiscal year 2023 (FY23).
    The CHCF provides about 70% of federal funding for health centers and has ensured stable, multi-year base grant funding for 300 grantees since 2015.

    This multistakeholder international organization maintains its secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.
