The Alvin J.
Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine is a cancer treatment, research and education institution with six locations in the St.
Louis area.
Siteman is the only cancer center in Missouri and within 240 miles of St.
Louis to be designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
Siteman is also the only area member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a nonprofit alliance of 32 cancer centers dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of cancer care.

Libin is a Canadian businessman and philanthropist.
The Calgary-based Libin is President and Chief Executive Officer of Balmon Investments Ltd, a private management services and investment company, with interests primarily in hotels, nursing homes, oil & gas, real estate, and financial services.

Alvin (DSV-2) is a crewed deep-ocean research submersible owned by the United States Navy and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
The vehicle was built by General Mills' Electronics Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Named to honor the prime mover and creative inspiration for the vehicle, Allyn Vine, Alvin was commissioned on June 5, 1964.
The submersible is launched from the deep submergence support vessel RV Atlantis nowrap>(AGOR-25), which is also owned by the U.S.
Navy and operated by WHOI.
The submersible has made more than 5,000 dives, carrying two scientists and a pilot, to observe the lifeforms that must cope with super-pressures and move about in total darkness, as well as exploring the wreck of Titanic.
Research conducted by Alvin has been featured in nearly 2,000 scientific papers.
