Only U.S. based programs are eligible.

A second round of grants for this purpose will be offered in fall 2023.

Freelance journalists, staff reporters and media outlets are eligible for grants, and their investigations can be for print, online or broadcast stories, books, documentaries or podcasts.

    Cross-border teams of professional journalists can apply for a grant to cover working time and/or expenses for their investigation
