Dental x ray certification

You may need to go a step further and get a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate from the DANB.
That’s why it’s best to always check state requirements first.
You'll need a CPR certification and a high school diploma or GED to qualify for a CDA program.
Once you’ve achieved certification, you are ready to get to work taking x-rays.

After you complete your dental assistant training, get certified in radiography.
The majority of x-ray technicians complete their Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certification.
The exam will focus on anatomy, radiography facts, and safety procedures.
The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) is the accrediting institution.

Here are some reasons to get an X-ray certification as a dental assistant:

1. Dental assistants often perform administrative duties like preparing instruments
2. scheduling appointments
3. ordering supplies and updating records

Students must be able to take Digital Dental X-rays and Mount an FMX in a clinical setting as wellas, pass an online exam with a grade of 75% or better to be issued a Dental Radiology Certification.
This course is to certify that the dental assistant is knowledgeable in and able to take Digital Dental X-rays.
