Dermatology underserved fellowship in family medicine

  • A Clinical Fellow is a post-resident trainee who is pursuing further clinical or research training in their own specialty and has successfully completed all of the time and examination requirements which would allow them to be registered as a Dermatologist in their home country.
  • Dermatology-trained fellows will rotate through different pathology subspecialities, including surgical pathology, hematopathology, cytopathology and molecular pathology.
The fellowship is designed to provide graded clinical responsibilities.
Research and teaching are integral part of the fellowship.
Underserved dermatology was created to help patients avoid long wait times to see a Dermatologist. It is an additional year of specialty training focused only on dermatology skin conditions. This allows the physician to manage a variety of simple and complex skin conditions within a primary care setting.
