Design ware

Arita ware> is a broad term for Japanese porcelain made in the area around the town of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyūshū island.
It is also known as Hizen ware> after the wider area of the province.
This was the area where the great majority of early Japanese porcelain, especially Japanese export porcelain, was made.

Armorial ware or heraldic china are ceramics decorated with a coat of arms, either that of a family, or an institution or place.
Armorials have been popular on European pottery from the Middle Ages with examples seen on Spanish Hispano-Moresque ware, Italian maiolica, slipware, English and Dutch Delft, and on porcelain from the 18th century.
Earlier examples were mostly large pieces such as jugs or basins and ewers, but later whole table services, all painted with the arms, were produced.

Imari ware> is a Western term for a brightly-coloured style of Arita ware> Japanese export porcelain made in the area of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyūshū.
They were exported to Europe in large quantities, especially between the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century.

Martyn Ware is an English musician, composer, arranger, record producer, and music programmer.
As a founding member of both the Human League and Heaven 17, Ware co-wrote hit songs such as Being Boiled and Temptation.

Raku ware> is a type of Japanese pottery traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies, most often in the form of chawan tea bowls.
It is traditionally characterised by being hand-shaped rather than thrown, fairly porous vessels, which result from low firing temperatures, lead glazes and the removal of pieces from the kiln while still glowing hot.
In the traditional Japanese process, the fired raku piece is removed from the hot kiln and is allowed to cool in the open air.

Revere Ware is a line of consumer and commercial kitchen wares introduced in 1939 by the Revere Brass & Copper Corp.
The line focuses primarily on consumer cookware such as skillets, sauce pans, stock pots, and tea kettles.
Initially Revere Ware was the culmination of various innovative techniques developed during the 1930s, the most popular being construction of stainless steel with rivetlessly attached bakelite handles, copper-clad bases and rounded interiors for ease of cleaning.
Over the next 40+ years, Revere Ware would introduce new series to position itself in competition with other manufacturers at various price points, or for specific specialty markets.
In the early 1960s the profitability of Revere Ware began to level off.
Coinciding with new series introductions, cost-cutting measures were implemented in the manufacture of the traditional cookware.
The bakelite handles were changed from two piece to one, and the thickness of utensil walls and copper cladding were reduced.
