The Exceptions
To make sure student's oral communication skills are assessed students must complete:.
1) CBA 1: Oral Communication in Modern Foreign Languages.
2) CBA 2: Communicative Task in Gaeilge. Students studying the following subjects must also complete CBA 2 as they are linked to the final exam:.
1) Visual Art.
2) Home Economics.
3) Music.
4) Applied Technology.
What happens at the end of the CBA 2 process?
At the end of the CBA 2 process
Teachers will use the features of quality for CBA2 ‘Communicate and Reflect’ to provisionally award a descriptor to the work. A SLAR meeting needs a minimum of two teachers of Visual Art in attendance. Each teacher will bring a range of work to discuss at the SLAR meeting.
When will cba1 & cba2 be completed?
Please note that the latest date for completion of CBA1 in all subjects
With the exception of Gaeilge
Was May 2023 and has now passed. 1 Relevant brief or project document for technologies subjects will issue immediately after the completion date for CBA2.
Does 2021/22 require a CBA?
Digital tools may be used to support this interaction. In Visual Art, one CBA must usually be presented in 3D. This requirement is waived for students in third year in 2021/22. In Physical Education short course, students in third year in 2021/22 are required to complete a minimum of one Classroom-Based Assessment.
