Our bachelor degrees in astrophysics and physics are designed to allow most students obtain dual degrees in both fields in four years.
The dual-degree option is distinctively advantageous

And opportunities to open more doors post-graduation than either an astrophysics or physics degree alone.

This course provides an overview of astrophysics and introduces the student to the many conventions
Coordinate systems
And nomenclature used in astrophysics.
The course will survey observational
And extragalactic astrophysics as well as cosmology.
The course will also include
Planetary astronomy including :
Extrasolar planets.

A dedicated masters program in astronomy started in July
2018. IIT Indore is the only IIT to offer such a unique program.
The entrance to this program is through the JAM (physics) examination.
