How do I get my money back from a dispute?

You file a chargeback request. Your card issuer reviews the dispute and will decide if it's valid or if you have to pay. If your issuer accepts the dispute, they'll pass it on to the card network, such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover, and you may receive a temporary account credit.

Does disputing charges hurt your credit?

Disputing a credit card charge does not harm your credit score, but the credit card issuer can add a note to your credit report showing that the account is currently under dispute. Filing a dispute actually does not have any effect on your credit score but the outcome of the dispute might.
