This supplementto the2022 editionof CACIincludes anumber ofadditions andchanges to the instructions, whichwere firstpublished in2003. Inproviding theseupdates, theJudicial Council AdvisoryCommittee onCivil JuryInstructions isfulfilling itscharge tomaintain CACI. Thecommittee isalso strivingto addinstructions innew areasof thelaw andto augment existingareas. The impetusfor therevisions camefrom severalsources includingCACI userswho detected changes inthe lawor whosimply soughtto doa betterjob ofexplaining thelaw inplain English.
