Charles (LCE, UMR 7376) in Marseille. The post-doc will also have interactions with other members of our consortium in Marseille (Campus Etoile IMBE) and Avignon (INRAE). o

JOB DESCRIPTION This 18-months' post-doctoral fellow is funded by the new Mediterranean Institute for

Environmental Transition (

environmental -transition-item) and will begin in January

2021. The research works to carry out during this period fall within the research project named ALCOVE, whose general aims are to

propose new practices for sustainable agriculture: evaluation of biocontrol products and a biofertilizer in viticulture (https://www.imbe.fr/projet-item-alcove.html).

This collaborative and

multidisciplinary research project brings together researchers skilled in Biology, Chemistry, and Social Sciences. It aims at defining the effect of i) biocontrol compounds (BCC) produced by Trichoderma on the growth and potential of colonisation of main phytopathogens for Vitis such as oidium and mildew, ii) of a bio amendment on vineyard

The selected candidate is expected:

(i) to produce BCC by aerobic fermentation (using Trichoderma asperellum) (ii) to characterize the chemical content of the mixture thus produced (by semi- preparative chromatography and GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS analysis) and the potential toxicity of fractions obtained by separative chromatography (iii) to follow biopersistence of BCC or to identify by-products generated by hydrolysis and/or photolysis (solar simulator and LC-GC/MS-MS) (iv) to study the genotoxic properties of BCC and its metabolites. o QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION & RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES Knowledges in chromatographic analysis (mass spectrometry), cellular toxicology, cytogenotoxicity and cell biology. Very good experience in cell culture would be appreciated. Experience in exposure of cell to complex mixtures

Experience in writing publications

As stated above, the candidate will have to interact with different members of the consortium including colleagues from psychosocial sciences and thus he/she will have to be actively involved in the connexion between the different workpackages of this project. More specifically he/she will have to help in supervising Master students who will support the different tasks of the study. Qualities sought: autonomy, scientific rigour, ability to work in a team and to communicate, taste for multidisciplinary programs, facilities in English and willingness to enrol in different laboratories. o
