ESITC Caen's research lab specializes in the

following themes: materials and eco-friendly construction (development of new building materials from plant fibers and waste products), and environmental geotechnics (processing of and recovery from soils and sediments).

The lab is a pilot participant in the European

SETARMS program focusing on the commercial

exploitation of marine sediments.
