Ryan’s Guide to Solving the 2x2 - geofhagopiannet
The 2x2 is like a 3x3 cube without edge or center pieces (displayed in picture beside) It’s recommended that you read (or at least look over) the “Ryan’s Guild to Speed Cubing” before reading this due to the fact that the method and algorithms are insanely close to being the same
How do you solve a 2x2 Rubik's cube?
Moves 1 white piece from the top row of the face across from you down to the bottom face. Moves 1 white piece from the bottom row of the topmost face all the way down to the bottom face. View your 2x2 Rubik’s Cube from the top. Orient your cube so the white face you solved is at the bottom. Check for all the yellow corner pieces remaining.
How to unjumble a 2x2 cube?
The 2x2 cube is basically a Rubik's Cube without center and edge pieces having only the 8 corner pieces. If you can solve the classic 3x3x3 then you will be able to unjumble this one too. You might meet two cases that you will never see on the 3x3x3: when two pieces are switched on the last layer. To handle this problem use one of the algorithms.
What should I know before learning to solve a Rubik's cube?
Before you start learning to solve, there are a few things you should have, and a few things you should know: • First of all, you’ll need a 2x2 Rubik’s cube, which you obviously have or you wouldn’t be reading this. • It’s strongly advised (but not necessary) to have complete, or at least partial, knowledge of how to solve a 3x3 cube.

2How to Use this Guide
You will be learning the layered method to solve
the Rubik'sMini. This layered method is also
used to solve the Rubik's Cube (original 3x3) and the Rubik's Master (4x4).Throughout the guide you will see this symbol
to indicate helpful tips. Take the time to read the tips closely. The gray areas on the Rubik's Mini mean that at
the stage you are working on, the color of the gray pieces doesn't matter. 3Tips for Success
Learning to solve the Rubik's Mini is easier than
solving the Rubik's Cube (original 3x3), but still a challenge. The Rubik's Mini is solved using sequences of
moves known as algorithms.Your Rubik's Mini will be solved using a layered
method, so you may want to try re-scrambling your Rubik's Mini and practicing multiple times before moving on to the next layer. Soon these steps will become muscle memory.Keep the Rubik's Mini on a table to maintain the
same front face for an entire algorithm (sequence of moves).Learn songs and chants to help you memorize
the algorithms.Place a small sticky note on the piece of the
Rubik's Mini you are moving so you can follow
its path. Consider taking a video while you do this and then watch the video.Use this guide along with the videos on
Rubiks.com showing each solving stage.

Think of the algorithms as moving a piece
out of the way, setting up its correct position, and then moving the piece into that place. When following the algorithms in this guide,
it is important to maintain the FRONT face of your Rubik's Mini so it stays the FRONT through all of the turns. If there is a 2 next to the algorithm letter,
turn the face twice.A turn is clockwise when looking at that
face directly. A letter with an apostrophe (') after it means to make an inverse or counterclockwise turn of the face. Each move is a ¼ TURN.
