Dear Resident, I am pleased to join all of my colleagues on the Islip Town Board in thanking you for your

commitment to keeping our environment safe and healthy. The participation of our residents has made the Town of Islip WRAP recycling program a commendable success. We are continuing to strive for innovative solutions for turning waste into a resource and keeping up with the evolving

recycling industry. In addition to the WRAP Program, the Town has several other recycling programs and earth-friendly events available to you. On the other side of this mailing is a list of special events held throughout the year, such as Shred Day, which provide invaluable services to the Town of Islip residents, free of charge

If you've recently moved in or need to replace a damaged or lost WRAP pail, please call (631) 595-3630 or visit https://www.islipny.gov/wrap

. You will receive a voucher for a new pail within 5-7 days. Each residence receiving Town garbage collection services is entitled to one WRAP pail every twelve months.

You may also use a regular garbage pail for recyclable materials, and/or bundle newspapers and magazines to place at the curb. As a reminder, please do not use plastic bags when disposing of your recyclables. Please utilize a garbage pail or WRAP recycling pail. You may recycle plastic bags at your local participating retail store or repurpose them for continued use. You may find these and other Town programs on our website www.islipny.gov

. For information on all curbside collection,

use the Islip Information Dashboard under the Community & Services tab. While you are visiting our website, please be sure

to sign up for E-Alerts to receive important news and events sent directly to your email.

Warmest regards,

Angie M. Carpenter Supervisor
