the PROGRAMME in detail All of our MBA students follow the same programme initially, which begins in the rst semester with a thorough study of nancial management, business economics and explores how to manage both organisations and people. In the second semester you'll move on to examine the principles of st rategic management, how to implement global marketing strategies and conduct business research. You'll then be able to choose a topic for your professional project, with or without an internship, applying your learning to sharpen your practical skills.

You will have the opportunity to specialise

in an HR topic of your choice. It could be Leading, Mentoring and Coaching or

Human Resource Management. Either way,

your people management skills will be enhanced considerably, opening up career opportunities.

The modules are designed to provide you

with expert knowledge of distinct HR subject areas. The course covers a range of HR management activities, including talent resourcing and selection, performance management, learning and development, change management and employee engagement.

We combine this learning with exposure

to contemporary debates, policies and practices, keeping you at the forefront of developments in your eld.MBA: Marketing

You will have the opportunity to specialise in

a marketing topic of your choice, giving you specialist knowledge. In today's marketplace, digital marketing plays an increasingly important role in managing products and brands, and reaching consumers.

With Marketing in a Digital World, you will

learn how to develop online and digital strategies, and put together successful campaigns to reach a range of audiences and goals. You will explore such topics as consumer behaviour online, the application of social media and its impact, the internet for distribution and digital marketing tools and techniques.

By choosing Marketing and Ethics, you

will explore the various tools of social and ethical marketing and how they can be used to change consumer behaviour and

enhance sustainability. This will include examining the opportunities and challenges of implementing this social and ethical marketing across national, linguistic and cultural borders.

MBA: Entrepreneurship

This truly innovative MBA will provide all

the core business and nancial knowledge and skills you need, combined with a ve week entrepreneurial study abroad course in the heart of Silicon Valley, USA, at Draper

University, where you will be given the

opportunity to pitch your business idea direct to potential investors.

This MBA includes a ve-week, ‘Hero

Training' programme. This fully residential

and immersive learning experience has been created for ambitious entrepreneurs who are looking to build on their skill sets, expand their network, get ahead in launching a business, and seeking opportunities to pitch for investment. In addition to our core MBA programme, we have introduced three specialisations - in Human Resource Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship with Draper University

Richmond postgraduate programmes

aim to prepare you for a career in a eld relevant to your qualication. As a MBA student you also have the option to work in a range of leading companies as part of our Internship Programme, helped by our industry connections and those of our partners.

An internship counts for four of the 10

credits needed in your nal term, with your Professional Project supplying the remaining six. If you don't do an internship, you will need to complete an Extended

Professional Report to earn all ten credits.

All our work placements are supervised and

career-related. A placement gives you the chance to apply your theoretical learning to

real workplace situations, helping you gain condence in your skills and employability. You will also develop contacts that may prove invaluable in creating future career opportunities.

Director MBA Programme

Specialism: International Business and

International Human Resource Management

Greg studied in the UK and United States

before beginning a career in international training and recruitment. Greg developed extensive management and leadership experience through positions in the UK,

Ireland, Turkey, Hong Kong and Japan and

on numerous short assignments with clients across Europe, North America, Africa and

Asia. Greg"s Doctorate at the University of

Birmingham explored international work

experience and early career development.

Greg supervises postgraduate research

focusing on international management, international business and international employment and undergraduate applied business research projects. Greg"s teaching areas include: Organisational Behaviour and

HRM; International Management; Strategic

Management; Applied Business Research.

Professor Sabine Spangenberg

Associate Dean of Richmond Business School

Specialism: Economics

Sabine is a Professor of Economics

and she is also Associate Dean of the

Business School. Educated in Germany,

at the University Duisburg-Essen, and the

UK, at Lancaster University, she teaches

undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Public Economics, International

Economics and Development Economics.

Sabine is particularly interested in

questions of welfare, wellbeing and human development. Throughout her academic career, she has published widely and spoken at many international conferences.

She has also written many articles for

publications including the International

Journal for Development and Happiness

and the Global Journal of Human Social

Sciences.

Associate Professor

S alvatore D'orsa

Salvatore has more than 20 years of

international experience in nancial and investment management gained in a principal as well as advisory capacity. Some of his previous positions include senior roles in a manager of venture capital funds, in a leading American investment bank and in a global pharmaceutical company.
