MERCHANDISE MARKS ACT, 1941: PROHIBITION OF THE USE OF

CERTAIN EMBLEMS AND MARKS: VARIOUS INTERNATIONAL

ORGANIZATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS

In terms of section 15( 1) of the Merchandise Marks Act, 1941 (Act No. 17 of 1941 ), I hereby, respect of the international organizations and institutions mentioned below, prohibit the use of the emblems and other marks set out and depicted in respect of each of those organizations and institutions in the relevant Schedule hereto as indicated below opposite to such organization's or institution's name, in connection with any trade, business, profession or occupation or in connections with a trade mark, mark or trade description applied to goods, except the use thereof by those respective organizations and institutions or their respective mandatories:

MARKING OF ARTICLES OF PRECIOUS METALS

In terms of section 15( 1) of the Merchandise Marks Act, 1941 (Act 17 of 1941 ), I hereby, in respect of the countries and the principality (Liechtenstein) mentioned below, prohibit the use of the State flags, State emblems, coats of arms and other marks, and the flags, emblems, coats of arms and other marks of that principality, set out and depicted in respect of each of those countries and that principality in the relevant Schedule hereto as indicated below opposite to such country's or principality's name, in connection with a trade, business, profession or occupation or in connection with a trade mark, mark or trade description applied to goods, except the use thereof by those respective countries or their respective mandatories and by that principality or its mandatories:
