Subject: Recruitment of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018Declaration of final result (except for the State of Kerala)-reg. Staff Selection Commission conducted Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 from 11.02.2019 to

11.03.2019 in the Computer Based Mode. A total of 30,41,284 candidates appeared in

the said examination. On the basis of the result of the Computer Based Examination, a total of 5,54,903 candidates (female-77,369 and male-4,77,534) were shortlisted for appearing in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST).

2. The result of PET/ PST was declared on 17.12.2019 and 04.03.2020 wherein

a total of 1,52,226 candidates (female-20750 and male-1,31,476) were qualified for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME). In addition to this, on the basis of various court orders, 39 more candidates got permission for DME. Hence, in total, medical examination in respect of 1,52,265 candidates was conducted by CAPFs. The DME was conducted by the CAPFs from 09.01.2020 to 13.02.2020 and 24.08.2020 to

12.09.2020 and the Review Medical Examination (RME) was conducted from

14.09.2020 to 10.11.2020. The summary of result of DME/ RME is as follows:

3. Kerala High Court vide its Order dated 20.01.2021 in WP(C) No.

24526 of 2020 and 35 other linked cases has directed to keep 200 vacancies unfilled

for the petitioner candidates. However, specific details like gender, category and area (Naxal/ General) of the candidates are being ascertained. Once these details are collected, the result for the State of Kerala will be processed and declared. Hence, the result of all the States except that of Kerala is being published. As the examination is common for all the candidates, rank for all the selected candidates will be awarded when the result of the candidates of Kerala State is declared.

4. As per the option exercised by the candidates in the Online Application Form,

candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC category, on migration from the State/ UT of their origin to another State/ UT have been considered in their respective reserved category if they have chosen to take benefit of reservation from the State/ UT of origin. Other-wise they have been considered as UR candidate from the State/ UT of their domicile as per the provisions of the Notice of Examination (Para-17.5).

5. In consonance with the Corrigendum dated 08.02.2019 issued by the

Commission on its website, final merit has been prepared on the basis of normalized marks scored by the candidates in the Computer Based Examination by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated

07.02.2019.

6. The Select list has been prepared as per All India vacancies and State-wise

vacancies with further reservation for candidates of Border Districts/ Naxal or Militancy affected Districts within the State. Candidates belonging to Border/ Naxal or Militancy affected Districts have been considered against vacancies in such areas or in the State concerned against General Vacancies as may be advantageous to them. Allocation to NIA, SSF and CAPFs has been done as per merit cum preference of the candidates, subject to availability of vacancies in State/ UT concerned, reservation for Border district and Naxal/ Militancy affected districts and category-wise reservation.

7. Category-wise (1-SC, 2-ST, 3-ESM, 6-OBC and 9-UR) break-up of the

candidates provisionally selected for appointment (except for the State of Kerala) are as follows:

8. Category-wise details of vacancies, number of candidates selected and cut-off

details of the last selected candidates against various vacancies are given at

Annexure-I (Female) and Annexure-II (Male).

9. Resolution of tie cases:

In the event of tie in scores of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, such cases have been resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved: (a) Total marks in Computer Based Examination. (b) Marks in Part-A of Computer Based Examination. (c) Marks in Part-B of Computer Based Examination. (d) Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher. (e) Alphabetical order of names (starting with first name)

10. The appointments will be subjected to following court orders:

i. Order dated 25.08.2020 passed by the High Court of Orissa in W.P.

No. 17750/2020.

ii. Order dated 10.07.2020 passed

Nagpur Bench in W.P .No. 2472/2020.

iii. Order dated 26/02/2020 passed

Kashmir in W.P .No. 3051/2020.

iv. As per the Order dated 10.11.2020 passed by Madhya Pradesh in W.P. No. 17411/2020, the appointments of last selected candidate of the entire selection process shall be subjected to the final outcome of the case.

11. Candidature of 260 (female-23, male-237) candidates requires further

verification. Till the authenticity of their candidature is verified, their result has been kept withheld.

12. Accordingly, the list of male and female candidates who are provisionally

selected for appointment to NIA, SSF and CAPFs on the basis of the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 are as follows:- i. List-1: 8080 female candidates provisionally recommended for appointment. ii. List-2: 46071 male candidates provisionally recommended for appointment. iii. List-3: 260 candidates whose candidature has been kept withheld.

13. Any discrepancy with respect to the selection/ non-selection/ allocation of

force etc may be brought to the Notice of the Commission within a period of one month. Any such representation received after one month will not be entertained by the Commission.

14. If a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any communication from

the Commission or the concerned User Department within a period of one year after declaration of the final result, he/she must bring this to the notice of the User

Department immediately thereafter.
