He was a global executive at IBM Software Group for six and a half years and ran their $1.4B Communications Sector business between 2005 and 2008. Mark also has more than 25 years of Faculty experienc e at the University of Waterloo where he is currently full time faculty for Strategy, High Tech Entrepreneurship and International Business for the School of Accounting and Finance . He has also taught for the Faculty of Mathematics, the School of Computer Science, the ArtsBusiness Program, and the
Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business.
He has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo (1989) and an MBA from the Kellogg-
Schulich global executive program (2011).

th year course in High Tech Entrepreneurship for the Math Faculty (MTHEL400/COMM400), currently in its 22 nd year of offering for 2018 and delivered to more than 750 students to date. Guest entrepreneurs have included founding CEO"s from RIM, Janna Systems, Sandvine, OpenText, Solect, DWL Software, PNO Consulting, DaVinci, Guestlogix, and many others.Primary responsibility for managing and delivering Waterloo"s core third year Information Systems course
(CS330) to classes of 100 -150 students over a ten year period from 1995 to 2004 (more than 4000 students taught in total), including a tailored version for the School of Accounting and Finance. Developed and taught Waterloo"s fourth year course in Large Scale Systems Transformation (CS498N) as a joint effort between Andersen Consulting and theUniversity of Waterloo in 1992 and 1993.
