HONOR ROLL

The middle school honor roll recognizes those students who have consistently performed in an outstanding manner. (See criteria below.) The Honor Roll is posted outside of the Principal"s office and in the cafeteria commons usually within 7-10 days of reports cards being sent home. We ask that students check the honor roll and notify Mrs. Penny Coyle, in the Main Office, of any

discrepancies. ie: misspelled name, Honor Roll status... Please contact the appropriate

counselor if you have questions regarding honor roll status. (630-821-7900)

MIDDLE SCHOOL HONOR ROLL CRITERIA

The middle school honor roll recognizes those students who have consistently performed in an outstanding manner. The regular honor roll recognizes those students who perform above average work in all their classes. The high honor roll recognizes those students who have clearly performed in a superior manner in all their classes.

To be eligible for the *Regular Honor Roll

, a student must meet the following criteria: · 'B" average = only one 'C" - no grade lower than a 'C" (LA/LIT counts as two (2).) · Excellent, Satisfactory or Needs Improvement evaluations in work habits and cooperation. (NO unsatisfactory/"U" )

To be eligible for the *High Honor Roll

, a student must meet the following criteria: · A minimum of five (5) A"s (LA/LIT counts as two (2).)

· No grade lower than a 'B"

· Excellent, Satisfactory or Needs Improvement evaluations in work habits and cooperation. (NO unsatisfactory/"U" ) *Note: Additional criteria are involved when determining regular honor roll and high honor roll status for those students enrolled in one or more of the following: 6 th/enriched math, 7 th/pre-algebra, 8th/algebra, fast-paced math, (6,7,8), fast-paced language arts (6,7,8), 8 th/first year foreign language, 8th/fast paced science. A grade of 'B" in the previously listed courses will count as an 'A" in determining eligibility for the high honor roll.
