1. What is CET 2020? CET 2020 is the Entrance Test process for admission to various

programs offered by GGSIPU for the academic session 2020-21. Please see Admission Brochure for details. 2. What are the programs offered under CET 2020? The programs offered under IPU CET are B. Tech/M. Tech/M. B. B. S/BDS/BCA/BSc./LLB/ BAMS/BHMS/BPT/BPO/ MLT/BASLP/ BBA/BJMC/B.Com (Hons.) etc. For more details, see Admission

3. When will the Online

Application form for CET 2020 be available on

website? The Online Application form for CET-2020 will be available from

03/03/2020 to 31/03/2020 on the www.ipu.ac.in website.

4. What are the basic eligibility

8. How many questions do I

have to answer in CET

2020? What will be the

duration of test? The test will of 100 MCQ objective-type questions in CET 2020. The duration of CBT will be of 2.30 hours (150 minutes). 9. How much is CET 2020

Application Fee and what is

the procedure for fee payment? CET application fee needs to be paid by Net Banking/Credit or Debit Cards. Application fee for each programme chosen in the Form is INR 1200/- individually. The applicant would be guided through the integrated Payment Gateway on the official website for completing the transaction. 10. Can an applicant choose city & examination centre? The applicants can give their preference of examination city among Delhi - NCR (including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad), Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh. However, GGSIPU reserves the right to assign examination city & centre at its discretion due to administrative reasons.

11. Can a centre be allotted by

the GGSIPU manually? No

12. Will the entrance exam be

common for all programs? Although the name of the process is Common Entrance Test, different programs will have different exams in CET, related to the program / discipline. For more information, see Admission

Brochure.

13. How long will the result/

award of CET 2020 be valid? The CET 2020 result / award will be valid for admission to programs in the academic session 2020-21 only.

14. Is there any Negative

Marking in the CET 2020?

In CET 2020 every correct answer is awarded +4 marks while every wrong answer will attract a penalty of -1 mark. However, for Ph.D and M.Phill programs, there is no penalty or negative marking for wrong answers.

15. How can I select the Date

and Slot of Examination of

CET 2020?

There is no facility for the candidates to choose the examination dates and shifts as the examination dates/shifts will be allotted by the GGSIPU as per availability.

16. In case the Photograph does

not carry Name & Date of the

Photograph, would the form

be rejected?

1. The Application form will not be rejected in this case because it

is not mandatory to mention Name & Date in Photograph. Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly. Polaroid and Computer generated photos are not acceptable.

2. Applications not complying with these instructions or with

unclear photographs are liable to be rejected. Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph uploaded is fabricated i.e. re-shaped or seems to be manipulated by hand or computer, the application of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means and the candidate would be dealt with accordingly.

3. Candidates are advised to take 3 passport size colour

photographs with clear white background.

4. The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph

for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 100 kb.

17. In case, the Candidate has

uploaded Blue Signature instead of a Black Signature in the application form of

CET 2020. Is it okay?

Both Blue and Black ink can be used for signature however Black ink is preferable. Your Application Form will not be rejected merely for this mistake.

18. When will be Admit Card

(CET) / Registration Card (Non-CET) be issued? For all CET programs, the Admit Cards will be issued 07 days before the exam and for all non-CET programs, a separate notification will be issued.

19. Is there any helpline for CET

2020 examination for the

aspirants? Yes. Details are available on website- www.ipu.ac.in

20. Will GGSIPU provide any

Technical assistance to

21. Is there any provision for re-

checking or re-evaluation of

Final Answer Key and Score

Card after the declaration of

result? The result will be declared on the basis of Final Answer Keys. There shall be no re-evaluation/ re-checking of result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

22. Is the Final Cut-Off for the

subject of CET prepared on

Percentage GGSIPU or

Percentile?

The Final Cut-Off is prepared on merit based on CBT marks/scored by the candidates.

23. Is there any provision in

GGSIPU to check the

Response Sheet or

Recorded Responses of the

candidate after CET Exam? GGSIPU has provided the facility to view the Question Paper and Recorded Responses. This facility will be available on GGSIPU website after the examinations for objection management only for

03 days. In this regard, communication will be sent through SMS

and registered mail. During objection management, student can raise their objection about the question/ its answer options, if any by paying the requisite fee of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred).

24. What factors decide the cut-

off score? Number of Applicants for a particular program, seats available in the selected program, Marking Scheme, Previous years' cut-off trend, and Difficulty Level of the Examination.

25. Will GGSIPU provide Mock

Test for all the programs of

CET 2020 Examination?

The standard Mock Test of CET is available on GGSIPU website to familiarize about the online Computer Based Testing. Said mock test will go live after issue of the admit cards.

Section II ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

4. Can GGSIPU fix the

examination centre in any city other than the options exercised by the candidates? The candidates will have option to choose four cities for examination of CET 2020. The efforts will be made to allot city of examination to the candidates as per their choice opted in the application form. However, this is not a guarantee.

5. How to fill up 'online'

application form for CET

2020? Are there any guidelines

for the students before filling the application form? Yes, the relevant information is available in the Information

Bulletin/ Instructions Manual.

6. What action is to be taken if the

candidate has opted English as a medium for examination and wants to appear in Hindi medium? The medium of examination available is only English language except B.Ed. programme. B.Ed. exam will be in bilingual i.e. English and Hindi, wherein candidates can choose language option as per their convenient.

7. Is Thumb Impression

mandatory while filling CET

2020 application?

No need to upload thumb impression in online application of CET 2020. However, during the CBT, it is mandatory.

8. What should I do, if

'continuous timeout' or 'file not found error' occurs while filling online application form of CET 2020?
Use updated version of Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer and good internet connection while filling application form. In case of continuous time out one can clear cookies and history of the browser and fill in during off-peak hours.

9. What are the enclosures that

should be attached with the confirmation page to be sent to

GGSIPU?

Candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to GGSIPU through Post/ Fax/

10. I have no access to a computer

and no experience with

Computer Based Examination.

How can I prepare for the

exam? A link will be available on the GGSIPU website for online Mock Test. The mock test facility is only for practice purpose and in order to familiarize with the online Computer Based Testing procedure. It is clarified that demo/ mock online tests are purely for practice purpose and not concerned with pattern of CBT examination. Candidate can practice for the same in Internet CAFÉ shops, in case he/ she has no computer.

11. What do the candidates need to

bring to the exam center? The candidate is required to bring the following at the examination centre (Also read the Information Bulletin carefully):-

1. Admit Card preferable in color print and also bring

transparent body Pen.

2. Three passport size photograph to be affixed on

attendance sheet and other if required.

3. Original Photo ID proof issued by Govt. authority.

Candidates are advised not to bring any other item in the examination centres. There will be no arrangement for safe keeping of any material at the centre. Neither GGSIPU nor centre will be responsible for any loss, delay etc.

12. Will any candidate be able to

leave early if he finishes the test before the allocated test time? No, candidate will not be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the test concludes.

13. If one does not get Admit Card. Admit cards will not be sent to candidates by post, it will be

uploaded on the website. Candidates need to download the Admit Card from the website only. In case of any difficulty, mail us on helpdesk email ipucet2020@gmail.com Without carrying valid admit card, no entry will be allowed to the examination premises.

14. How will one know the result of

the CET 2020? The result of CET 2020 will be uploaded on the website www.ipu.ac.in as per schedule.

15. Can a candidate change the

examination centre after allotment of roll number? No, Examination Centre cannot be changed in any case.

16. If mistakenly during filling up of

the form, wrong particulars are filled in the online form, how will it be corrected. A 03 days opportunity will be given to the candidates after the last date of submission of applications for such corrections. No correction will be allowed thereafter. All the information (especially in category) which is filled on the date of submission of form will be considered valid and no change is allowed later. More information in this regard is available in the Information Bulletin/ Instructions Manual/ Admission

Brochure.

17. Can anyone cancel the

application submitted for CET 2020?
Online Application forms once submitted successfully cannot be cancelled/ withdrawn. Application fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.

18. Is there any procedure to

correct the particulars of

Application Form after the

declaration of CET result? No

19. Will the candidates have to

upload their category certificate, educational certificate or any necessary document while filling Online

Application Form of CET 2020?

No certificates are required to be uploaded during online application. During filling up the online applications, only scanned photograph and signature need to be uploaded. For more information, please see Information Bulletin/

Instruction Manual.

The Candidate who is in First

year of relevant Degree, am I eligible to fill the online application form of CET 2020? Those who are pursuing their relevant qualifying degree or equivalent program and who have appeared/ awaited of Final Year examination, said candidates can apply online application for CET 2020. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of concerned programme for obtaining eligibility %age of mars as per eligibility criteria. First year of relevant degree candidates not eligible for fill up of programme.
