How will NJDOT's document management system work?

All project-related documents will follow a systematic electronic document management protocol, and all NJDOT projects will use the same system.
NJDOT projects will no longer require printing and mailing large documents for review and approval.
This will also reduce the demand for physical space to store project files.

What are NJDOT's scoping procedures?

Scoping procedures outlined in the NJDOT Procedures Manual, balance, among many other factors, the impact of the proposed design with the ROW impacts.
This limits, but does not preclude, the designer from adjusting the proposed ROW acquisitions to minimize their size and impact upon the remaining property.

What does the NJDOT construction unit do?

The Construction Unit enforces the rules and regulations governing traffic control and safety in highway work areas.
The Unit members inspect NJDOT construction sites to ensure contractors are in compliance with the traffic control plans established for their project.

Who does NJDOT consider in conceiving and designing projects?

In conceiving, scoping and designing projects, the NJDOT will consider the needs of all road users and neighbors.
