Criminal justice worksheets for high school students

The judge uses positive reinforcement and sanctions to encourage positive behavioral changes.
If the individual successfully completes the drug court program, the original charges are dismissed, the plea is stricken from the record, or the individual’s sentence is reduced, depending on the type of drug court program.

In part 1, students will use previous knowledge to form definitions for some different categories of justice.

Problem-solving courts work with external parties to achieve certain goals (e.g., developing partnerships with mental health providers).

Typically the prosecutor, defense attorney, treatment providers, law enforcement officers, probation officers, program coordinator, and case managers operate as a team when addressing individual case issues.
The team supports the judge who oversees the individual’s progress in treatment.
