What is the challenge in cytology?

The challenge in cytology is that whilst there will be many cells that are readily recognisable, there will always be some inscrutable cells that are unwilling to give up their secrets.
It is part of our journey as diagnosticians to interrogate these cells by constantly comparing, observing and questioning their nature.
