Dermatology downe hospital

The hospital has 49 inpatient beds for a range of medical conditions.
The Downe provides the Trustwide Bowel Screening Service and Sexual Health Service, as well as a range of outpatient, diagnostics and day case services, such as:

1. cataract surgery

Two GP practices are located on the first floor, along with community and dental services.

As a Dermatologist, Dr Downey is a medical specialist who has advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin.
Graduating with a medical degree in 1975 from Otago University, Dr Downey completed post graduate qualifications in internal medicine, dermatologic surgery, laser surgery and general dermatology.

PIH Health Downey Hospital officially became part of PIH Health in October 2013.
We are a nonprofit, 199-bed hospital that has been serving the community of Downey and surrounding areas for more than 100 years.
In addition to high-quality inpatient care, we offer 24-hour emergency services and outpatient services.
