Curriculum Based Assessment (CBA).
The Classroom Based Assessments are to be used in reporting progress and achievement to parents and students as part of the school's ongoing reporting procedures and through the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA)..
The Art CBA 2 or classroom-based assessment 2 is designed to encourage students to 'Communicate and Reflect' on the work they have completed throughout their time on the art course.
Students focus on a specific theme that is communicated by the SEC (State Examinations Commission) each year..
CBA's are there to help students to use a myriad of different key skills to form a project that they can present, and be proud of.
They encourage students to pick a passion and use research skills to create a final outcome that they can use as a portfolio for their ideas..

At the end of the CBA 2 process, teachers will use the features of quality for CBA2 ‘Communicate and Reflect’ to provisionally award a descriptor to the work.
