Dear Parents/Guardians:
School begins on Tuesday, September 8
th Grade 8's will have a special day - Welcome to Cariboo Hill! All grade 8 students will come to school from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm.10:30 Grade 8 students meet in the small gym for a brief assembly.
House Block teachers will lead grade 8 students to their classroom after the assembly. Timetables, lockers and agendas will be distributed.11:50 LUNCH - Cafeteria Services will not be available on this day. Please bring your lunch.
12:20 Students begin to go through their timetables beginning with Period 1. Grade 8's will visit all of their classes (Periods 1 - 8) and meet all
of their teachers.2:00 School is dismissed.
Supplies
Specific supply requirements for each of your child's courses will be outlined by his or her teachers. However, there are a few basic supplies that
may be purchased in advance. The following is a list of basic supplies that your student will need:4 HB pencils 4 Pens 3-ring binders
1 package of lined paper 2 packages of binder dividers 2 erasers
1 set of clothes suitable for both indoor and outdoor physical education classes (athletic shoes, shorts or track pants, and a top.)
Grade 9-12's - Welcome back!
All grade 9 - 12 students will attend House Block class for one hour.10:00 - 10:45 am - House block lists will be posted in the main foyer. House block class - welcome back & distribution of timetables & lockers.
Wednesday, September 9
Students begin the day in their House Block. A signal bell will ring at 8:35 a.m. and House Block begins at 8:40. Students are expected to be in
their House Block when the 8:40 a.m. bell rings. The blocks for the day are 1, 2, 3 & 4. School is dismissed at 3:05 p.m. each day. Day 1 (Period 1,
2, 3, 4) and Day 2 (Period 5, 6, 7, 8) rotate.
Monday, September 14 - early dismissal
Students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. Teachers will have afternoon training for the new school database "My Education (My Eddy)"
Monday, October 5 - Parent Advisory Council - 7:00 p.m. All parents are welcome. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in Room 321.Thursday, October 8 - Meet the Teacher Night
This is an important evening for all parents to meet your child's teachers for this year. Please plan to attend. More information will be sent home in
September.

$305.00If you are paying fees at the school, we would prefer ONE CHEQUE (made out to "Cariboo Hill Secondary School") for each student and we issue
one receipt for each student. Please keep all receipts in order to avoid misunderstandings at the end of the school year.
PICTURES
School photographs will be taken on Thursday, September 24th. Students will bring home an information sheet outlining the photo packages
available. Missed photo & re-take picture day is Monday, October 19 th. All students need to have their photograph taken for their Student I.D. called "GO-Cards" - these are complimentary if photos are taken on Photo or Re-take day.SCHOOL CALENDAR
The school calendar is available on the Cariboo Hill website now, as well as in the Student Agenda Planners available in September.
CAFETERIA
Service is available beginning Wednesday, September 9th, first thing and in the morning, during the nutrition break, and during lunch break for
