Why can't I play audio in a PowerPoint presentation?

One of the major reasons why audio cannot be played in a PowerPoint presentation is that the audio file in the presentation was linked by the author and not embedded to the presentation. If the audio file is not embedded, and only linked to the PowerPoint presentation, you will need access to the linked file to play the audio file.

Why is my embedded video not playing in my PowerPoint presentation?

The embedded file may be in an unsupported format. Most versions of Microsoft PowerPoint supports “.wmv” files. Hence, videos that are in a different format may not play in your PowerPoint presentation. Make sure the video file is in the right format.

Why is my PowerPoint narration not working?
